Explore the possibilities of "Body Centered Meditation" for personal well-being, balance, consciousness development and re-connection with the presence.
Body centered meditation is by design a simple yet powerful tool which allows to develop ones perception, energy and consciousness on several different levels. Because it works so closely with the body to start with it can be seen as an effective way to create a solid foundation for the expansion of consciousness and the deeper understanding of how to reach elevated states of consciousness.
At first glance it might remind some of mindfulness meditation practices but there is much more to be explored when diving in the depths of the practice.
This workshop serves as a complete guide to the foundation of practicing body centered meditation and will strongly take into consideration the level of each participant. It will naturally enhance your ability to tune into the present moment which is also the state that allows you the most to connect with your true self.
With a mix of theoretical foundation, the experiences from practicing together and the feedback about the experiences from each participant the exact highlights and focus points will be a co-creation based on the needs and individual experiences of all present.
There are no prerequisites and no prior experience in meditation of any sort is required to successfully participate. Just curiosity and the motivation to explore are all that is needed.
However, if you already are a regular practitioner of any kind of meditation, or other conscious discipline like Yoga, somatic or embodiment practices or energy work you will find the clarity of the method and the possibilities that come with it especially to quickly raise your energy, and re-focus quite interesting.
As experience of previous workshops to this topic shows, we will most likely touch on to a number of different topics related to consciousness development, emotions, the conscious-, sub-, and unconscious mind, energy and personal or spiritual growth paths in general.
Also, this meditation is not affiliated with any religious or commonly described spiritual schools or philosophies allowing it to be accessed no matter ones personal background.
In it you will find a combination of basic principles that can be found in traditional practices (but are typically covered up by philosophical add ons), most recent neurological and medical research as well as other fields of study.
In a very rudimentary overview the following layers of experience can be described:
- learning to re-connect with ones physical sensory information of the body and how to use the mind to access this mostly subconscious information which leads to enhanced perception of oneself and subsequently the ability to more accurately take charge of the body.
- mental and emotional clarity ensue with practice leading to enhanced focus and more stability psychologically as well as energetically
- energy levels rise and one gets an idea of what connecting to consciousness beyond the mind can feel like.
Beyond the base practice there are several possibilities to expand the practice to become adept in navigating ones awareness, deliberately shifting perception to higher consciousness and more easily control and navigate mood, energy levels and well-being. The experiences can serve as a safe foundation for more advanced stages of consciousness development and perception.
